Slender and occasionally dry gestural brushstrokes depicting two horses, one in side profile with its head bent to the ground, as if to eat or to drink. The other horse appears unfinished.

Signed and dated "1970" in pen and blue colour pencil. "O" and "0707". The first "0" appears to have been written over "7".

Foxing. Vertical fold down the centre. Possibly removed from a sketchbook. Large tears along the vertical fold. Very slight creases at the top left, top right, and bottom left corners. Multiple tears along the top and bottom edges. Small tear along the left edge. The tears along the bottom edge seem to have been mended.
