In this abstract, gestural painting, thick, heavy handfuls of white paint are slathered and smeared over a white backdrop in a series of calligraphic strokes executed using the artist's hands. With parallel lines etched into the paint as if it were a sculptural medium, this artwork recalls the Chinese character, "Tao" (道). Traces of red paint appear to have been mixed into the white background.
