This photorealistic portrait depicts King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) dressed in a Western-styled shirt, jacket, and tie. The king's body is positioned in three-quarter profile as he turns his face to gaze directly at the viewer. The drawing, which was based on a photograph, was likely framed by an oval-shaped border.
