A close-up, semi-abstract painting of the artist's face sketched out in thin, blue, brushstrokes and coloured in using small, unblended dots of red, orange, and blue paint which are recombined perceptually via optical mixing—a technique characteristic of Impressionist and Post-impressionist painting.
