In this semi-abstract, half-body self-portrait, the artist faces the viewer with his torso unclothed. Thin, curved hatch lines painted with a light hand describe the contours of his face, while loose, looping scribbles and zigzags outline his body against a blank background.

Small bits of a brown substance (possibly insect remains) are stuck to the back of the work, causing minor brown stains within the image. Brown stains near the top left corner of the composition corresponding to the inscriptions on the reverse. Some brown stains around the brushstrokes due to the oil (or other constituents) in the medium used seeping through the canvas. Minor instances of the canvas fabric piling. In good condition overall.
