Description
-
With thin, translucent, broken brushstrokes glazed over the surface of the canvas repeatedly, creating a vibrant, polychromatic image via the technique of optical mixing, this three-quarter profile portrait depicts the artist's sixth child, Kawi Sae-tang, dressed in a simple shirt, with side swept bangs across his forehead. The figure stands against a lively, teeming background daubed in patches of bright colour, with columns of pseudo-script inscribed over the surface using a brush or some such tool dipped in blue paint.
