Description
-
With slender, rapidly scribbled zigzags, wavy lines, and layered, impasto brushstrokes applied to the canvas in vivid, colourful layers, this semi-abstract, naturalistically proportioned portrait depicts the artist facing the viewer with his brows furrowed in a solemn, dignified expression. Rendered primarily in cool colours, including green, blue, and purple. Touches of red and orange draw the viewer's eye to the centre of the artist's face.
