Description
-
This abstract, gestural painting consists of thick, heavy handfuls of white and red paint slathered, using the artist's hands and body, onto a light-coloured backdrop formed by cursorily blended, uneven, translucent white brushstrokes glazed over a blue base layer. Thin lines are etched into the painted surface, revealing the blue beneath via the technique of sgraffito.
