This abstract, gestural painting consists of large, viscous amounts of black paint poured and smeared, using the artist's hands and body, over a black backdrop in a series of broad, sweeping, powerful strokes emanating from the centre of the composition. The heavily textured, almost sculptural surface bears witness to the artist's touch.

Serious craquelure. Large chunks of paint have flaked and peeled off the surface of the canvas, leaving it marred with brown spots. Holes along the edges of the canvas where it was nailed into the stretcher. The nails have rusted. Buckling. Handle with care. Dust, dirt, and insect droppings over the entire surface. Stains on the reverse due to the medium used seeping through the canvas.
