Description
-
Handfuls of thick, impasto black paint are smeared over the canvas in quick, forceful strokes, comprising a pseudo-calligraphic form defined by slanting lines and abrupt shifts in direction, against a patchy, unevenly blended grey-and-white backdrop bearing finger marks. Small bits of black paint have been flung, splattered, and dripped over parts of the canvas, resulting in thin, trailing lines. Trace amounts of blue paint have been mixed into the composition.
