This abstract composition consists of swathes of black and white paint smeared over the canvas in looping, curvilinear strokes, forming a murky grey mass against a backdrop of rough, textured, black and white strokes. Faint, horizontal lines have been inscribed into the surface—possibly using a thinning medium to dissolve portions of the paint. Parallel grooves scrawled over the canvas surface bear witness to the artist's bold, gestural movements.

Holes at the top right corner of the work. The canvas is distorted; it looks more like a rhombus than a rectangle. Craquelure. Paint flaking and white stains at the bottom left corner of the work. Dust and dirt. Insect droppings. Nails used to affix the canvas to the stretcher have rusted.
