Thick handfuls of red and black paint smeared, in sweeping, winding strokes, over a rough, textured ground covered in uneven daubs of paint. Thin parallel lines have been scratched or incised upon the sculptural surface of the work, along with handprints and finger marks.

Craquelure (may be part of the work). Paint flaking. Insect and lizard droppings. Insect remains embedded within the paint (near the left edge). The canvas is distorted. Nails used to affix the canvas to the stretcher have rusted.
