Description
-
This abstract, gestural painting consists of thick, impasto handfuls of black paint heaped onto the canvas and smeared, in sweeping, winding strokes, over a background covered in patchy daubs of black and white paint. Thin, parallel lines and grooves are etched into the medium using the artist's fingers, creating a sculptural painterly surface. Trace amounts of red and blue paint are mixed into the black.
