Craquelure. Paint flaking. Remounted onto a new stretcher and stapled along the sides. Holes along the edges of the canvas on the reverse, where it was previously nailed into the stretcher. A small rip near the centre of the canvas. In good condition overall. The self-portrait appears to have been painted over another image, which is predominantly blue.
