Composed of thin, broken brushstrokes, squiggles, and columns of pseudo-calligraphic characters composed in dense, multicoloured layers, this expressive, gestural painting depicts a semi-abstract, distorted image of a face—likely the artist's. Painted in green, blue, yellow, black, white, orange, and red. Some of these colours were mixed together upon the surface of the canvas while still wet.

Slight craquelure. Brown stains on the reverse due to the medium used seeping through the canvas. The staples used to secure the canvas to the wooden stretcher have rusted. Otherwise in good condition.
