Description
-
This abstract painting consists of black and white paint smeared across a white background using brushes and the artist's body in a series of slow, controlled movements, broad, sweeping gestures, and quick, sudden shifts. Towards the bottom right corner of the composition is a chaotic cluster of short daubs and zigzagging, fingerpainted strokes. Scratch lines etched into the medium reflect the artist's touch.

Condition
-
Slight discolouration of the canvas. Brown stains around some strokes and on the reverse due to the medium used seeping through the canvas. Small holes along the right edge, possibly from when the canvas was formerly nailed to the stretcher. Dust and dirt. Lizard dropping near the bottom right corner. In fair condition.
