This abstract composition consists of thick, impasto handfuls of black paint slathered and smeared over the canvas in a series of sweeping gestures, concealing an agglomeration of red strokes layered over a white background. With parallel grooves scrawled through the medium and thin trails of splattered paint, the heavily textured surface of the canvas reflects the artist's dynamic process.

Brown stains around some strokes and on the reverse due to the medium used seeping through the canvas. Insect droppings. Insect nests attached to the work, near the bottom right corner, and along the left and right sides of the canvas (see gap between canvas and frame). Craquelure. Paint flaking. A tear at the top right corner of the canvas which reveals another layer of painted canvas beneath it. Tear along the bottom right edge of the canvas. Some white liquid stains (may be part of the work). Dust and dirt.
