A semi-abstract, gestural painting of a female figure— likely the artist's wife— sitting or reclining against a raised surface, with her right arm bent over her head. The image oscillates between figuration and pure abstraction, with squiggly, broken brushstrokes patterned over large areas of the composition in thick strokes, which have since fractured due to the natural deterioration of the medium. A fainter, secondary outline of the woman's figure cups the right side of her body.

Dust and dirt. Craquelure (may be part of the work). Paint flaking, especially along the edges. Staples have rusted. Thin white liquid trails near the centre of the image. In fairly good condition overall.
