This abstract, gestural painting consists of a large agglomeration of broad, sweeping, winding, overlapping black paint smears and splatters applied onto a white background using both brushes and the artist's hands. Small amounts of white paint have been mixed into the black upon the surface of the canvas, while impasto splotches and thin trails of splattered paint add to the textured surface.

Dust and dirt. Craquelure. Paint flaking. Brown stains around some strokes and on the reverse; possibly due to the oils in the medium seeping through the canvas.
