Description
-
Composed of broad, unbroken brushstrokes applied wet-on-wet in vivid, colourful layers, creating a soft, luminous effect, this semi-abstract landscape painting depicts a path leading through a field of tall grasses, towards a red house in the distance. Painted over the uppermost third of the composition, concealing the sky, are columns of abstract, illegible red marks resembling Chinese calligraphy. In green, blue, yellow, red, black, and white.
