A front-facing self-portrait reduced to simple black brushstrokes against a white background. The artist's facial features are stylised in the form of a logographic symbol resembling Chinese characters. Small sparrows, each painted with a few, minimal, calligraphic lines and quick, round brushstrokes, are positioned over his face and upper body.
