A simplified, semi-abstract painting of a lotus pond formed by horizontal strokes and bulbous patches of colour applied using the dry brush technique. The image is punctuated by thin, vertical strokes and small daubs of black paint. Rendered in shades of green, pink, and black, with touches of dirty yellow.

Foxing. Very slight creases at the top right, top left, and bottom left corners. Bits of paper stuck to the work. Brown stains on the reverse due to the medium used seeping through the paper. Brown paper adhered to the reverse.
