Using the wet-on-wet technique, the painting depicts a realistically proportioned view of a house in a clearing surrounded by trees. Complementary colours are juxtaposed against one another, enhancing the vibrancy of the pale brushstrokes and evoking a sense of nostalgia.

Foxing. A horizontal fold near the bottom edge. Tears along the fold. Tears at the top left corner and along the top edge. Creases along the right edge and at the top left, top right, and bottom right corners. Slight creases along the left edge. Abrasions at the bottom right corner. Grazing. Small holes along the right edge. Tape on the reverse. Glue stains on the reverse.
