Depicted in a semi-abstract, semi-realistic style composed of blocks of colour, quick sketch lines, and round paint daubs, the scene is framed by tall grasses and trees. Patches of negative space evoke bright sunlight.

Foxing. Creases at the corners and along the edges. Tide lines (clearly visible on the reverse). A vertical crease down the centre of the painting. Brown paper triangles adhered to the reverse.
