The concrete poem consists of two rectangular text blocks, each formed by rows of the words "butterfly" (ผีเสื้อ), "flowers" (ดอกไม้), "woman" (ผู้หญิง), and "man" (ผู้ชาย). Repeated instances of the phrase "black, white, other colours" (ดำ ขาว สีต่างต่าง) are positioned in a column between the two text blocks.

Titled '"ชีวิต"' at the top left corner of the work. Signed, and dated "1968" below the poem. Written at the bottom right corner of the frame is the letter "B". Numbered "0284" on the adjacent page. Titled '"ชีวิต"' on the reverse.

Serious foxing. A vertical fold down the centre. Tears along the fold. Small tears along the top and left edges. Creases at the corners along the top, left and bottom edges. Fingerprints.
