The poem consists of a single instance of the phrase "different sides" (คนละฝั่ง) positioned between two text blocks formed by the words "human" (คน) and "corpse" (ศพ) and labelled "community" (ชุมชน) and "graveyard" (สุสาน) respectively. The text block on the left is followed by a list of verbs describing human activities, including eating, shitting, having sex, sleeping, cheating, robbing, killing, talking, craving power, and dying (กิน ขี้ ปี้ นอน โกง ปล้น ฆ่า คุย บ้าอำนาจ ตาย). The text block on the right is followed by a list of verbs relating to the rituals surrounding death, including "to prostrate oneself", "to make offerings", "to make a gesture of respect", "to worship", and "to recall from the point of view of future generations" (กราบ เซ่น ไหว้ บูชา รำลึก จาก ลูกหลาน).
