Layered over a pale blue paint wash are columns of elegant, calligraphic forms which have been executed in quick, spontaneous, gestural strokes and scribbles. The characters are divided into three groups; the leftmost group is painted in reddish brown while the largest characters are positioned at the centre of the composition.
