A simplified, upside-down silhouette of the Democracy Monument formed by numerous rows of the repeated word "merchant" (พ่อค้า), with the words "dignity" (ศักดินา), "group of influential people" (กลุ่มอิทธิพล), "warlord" or "military leader" (ขุนศึก), "soldier" (ทหาร), and "capitalist" (นายทุน) positioned in place of the offering bowls at the centre of the monument. The structure rests atop a rectangular base formed by the phrase "poor people" (คนยากจน). In purple.
