Description

Tiny, inverted, U-shaped motifs and other short, idiosyncratic, gestural marks repeated in dense proximity within a rectangular field positioned close to the lower edge of the composition. Tonal gradations within the image evoke rectilinear forms and scattered, dark spots. Possibly an abstract landscape.

Condition

Foxing, especially along the edges. The work may have been framed. Very slight crease at the top left corner. Notches along the bottom edge. Paper may have been removed from a sketchbook. Stains on the reverse due to the medium used seeping through the paper. Paper triangles stuck to the corners on the reverse. Traces of tape on the reverse. In fairly good condition.
