Four abstract self-portraits in which the artist's characteristic features—his eyebrows, eyes, nose, moustache, and beard—have been simplified and reduced to clusters of scribbles, loose gestural stokes, or strips of negative space. Short, broken pen marks, looping motifs, and other improvisatory, gestural strokes are superimposed over his cheeks. Zigzagging hatch lines are layered over one of the portraits.

Foxing. Paper is folded in half horizontally and vertically. Printed on the reverse are pages of the artist's poems. Tiny pin holes at the corners. Tape on the reverse. Handprints, fingerprints, and grey smudges.
