Broad, sweeping, gestural brushstrokes delineating a curved wedge, atop of which stands a rectilinear structure and two large dabs of ink pierced by thin vertical lines. Possibly an abstract representation of a boat, or of houses and other structures on the edge of the sea or along a riverbank.

Foxing. Vertical crease near the right edge. Creases at the corners. Slight creases along the top, left, and bottom edges. Tide lines along the top edge. Brown patches and stains. Tiny dark-coloured spots at the bottom left corner. Possibly insect droppings. Bits of paper stuck near the centre of the work. Tears at the top left, bottom left, and bottom right corners. Grey lines near the top edge.
