An abstract self-portrait outlined using a medium-sized brush loaded with multiple colours. Brief, broken, teardrop-shaped strokes are daubed over parts of the composition. A dilute paint wash fills the background. Painted primarily in brown, with touches of red, blue, green, orange, and purple. Some strokes may have been applied directly from the tube.

Foxing. Minor creases at the top left, top right, and bottom right corners. Very mild insect damage at the bottom right corner. Tiny brown spots caused by unknown substances stuck to the work. Grey stain along the bottom edge. Craquelure. Brown stains on the reverse due to the medium used seeping through the work.
