Description

A field of dense vegetation rendered in layered, patchy, translucent brushstrokes, with broad, textured, black outlines evoking the contours of the land. Brief, mostly unblended daubs of colour represent trees in the background, alongside tall palms delineated in slender, expressive, gestural strokes and scribbles. A path cuts through the field. Painted in green, blue, and yellow, with touches of orange.

Foxing. Very mild grazing at the bottom right corner. Slight creases at the corners. Buckling and abrasions along the edges; likely caused by the wet paper disintegrating while handled. Tears along the top, left, and bottom edges; the tears along the left and bottom edges appear to have been repaired. Stains on the reverse due to the medium used seeping through the paper. Medium rubs off.
