A long-leaved potted plant on a ledge depicted in a flat, graphic style, against a background composed of nebulous patches of colour, with pseudo-calligraphic, gestural brushstrokes superimposed over the entire image in columns, rows, and clusters. Painted in red, fluorescent red, orange, shades of yellow, green, blue, and black.

Foxing, especially along the left edge. Slight creases at the corners and along the top and left edges. Notches along the right edge. Tears along the top edge which have since been repaired. A small hole, likely caused by an insect, along the left edge. Brown substance stuck to the work in the lower left quadrant. Some buckling. Stains on the reverse due to the medium used seeping through the paper.
