An ambiguous image, possibly of furniture or a house, overlaid with wet-on-wet, translucent paint washes applied in vertical strokes, over which columns of calligraphic forms and wild, spontaneous, gestural curves have been superimposed. Towards the upper left edge are clusters of brief, broken, dry brush marks. Painted primarily in black, with traces of blue and reddish-brown.

Foxing. Slight crease at the bottom left corner and along the top edge. Creases at the other corners and within the work. Grazing along the left edge. Insect damage along the top and left edges and at the top left corner. A small tear along the right edge. Brown stains near the bottom edge.
