A semi-abstract, realistically proportioned self-portrait rendered in slender, free-flowing, curvilinear, gestural brushstrokes, with zigzags, hatch lines, and brief, idiosyncratic, pseudo-calligraphic scribbles layered all over the lower two-thirds of the composition, such that the areas above the artist's eyebrows appear to be cast in light. The artist wears a solemn expression with brows furrowed.
