A simplified, semi-abstract image of banana trees viewed up close and reduced to broad, gestural brushstrokes, without outlines defining the leaves and branches. Painted predominantly in green, with touches of fluorescent red, fluorescent orange, fluorescent yellow, and black, possibly using a flat wall brush.

Foxing. Creases at the corners. Very slight creases along the top, left, and bottom edges. Tear along the right edge. Abrasions due to the paper disintegrating while the brushstrokes were applied. Small white spots, possibly due to grazing. Some grey smudges. Stains on the reverse due to the medium used seeping through the paper.
