A landscape painting built up in layers composed of broad sweeps of dilute paint, quick, broken, medium-sized brushstrokes, slender, gestural lines, and small dabs of paint that may have been applied using the artist's fingers, depicting a view of a fence surrounded by banana trees and other plants along what appears to be a dirt road. In shades of yellow, green, blue, red, and black.

Signed and dated "20.8.1983" along with a poem evoking sweat, sunlight, banana leaves and coconut shoots swaying in the wind, zinc fences rotting, and the road dazzling in the sunlight as the speaker's friend walks over from afar.

Foxing. Creases at the corners and along the edges. Tears along the edges and at the top left and bottom left corners (no more than 2 cm). Medium rubs off upon contact. Stains on the reverse due to the medium used seeping through the paper. Brown tape marks along the edges on the reverse.
