Loose, curvilinear gestural strokes superimposed over a self-portrait that doubles as a landscape—the artist's facial hair is depicted in a stylised manner, resembling a fountain or some sort of architectural structure; the wavy lines that represent his hair can be perceived as trees. Simplified images of birds cover his cheeks. In purple.
