Continuous, diagonal scribbles, quick, spontaneous curves, and brief, broken gestural brushstrokes painted in shades of grey, forming a grassy field in the foreground, trees on the horizon, and clouds in the sky. Some strokes appear to have been painted using the artist's fingers. On the horizon is a small cluster of brown felt-tip pen scribbles.

Foxing. Bits of paper stuck to the work, including a large scrap near the bottom edge. Creases at the bottom left and bottom right corners. Slight creases at the other corners. Scratches. Insect droppings along the left edge.
