A loose sketch of a seated female figure, perhaps the artist's wife, resting her arm along a ledge. Horizontal and vertical lines divide the composition into rectangular segments, within which parts of the woman's body are framed. Other segments contain idiosyncratic gestural strokes arranged in circles, clusters, columns, and in the format of a grid.
