A semi-abstract, naturalistically proportioned self-portrait comprising vivid, spontaneous gestural brushstrokes layered over a pale paint wash, with warm and cool colours representing tonal values and defining the artist's facial features. In place of his eyes are glaring patches of negative space. Columns of pseudo-script fill the background. In shades of red, blue, yellow, green, black, and fluorescent red-orange.
