A gestural painting composed of pale, dilute, zigzagging brushstrokes forming a base layer beneath quick, dry, sketch lines and bright pink paint daubs smeared over the image, depicting a woman sleeping on her side, with her face buried in her arms and her legs bent, on a chair or bed marked by striped lines. In deep red, orange, blue, yellow, black, and fluorescent pink.

Serious foxing. Creases at the corners and along the left edge. Tears along the left and right edges. Abrasion near the centre of the work. Grazing and/or bits of paint flaking off. The medium rubs off upon contact. Faint white marks around the edges of some brushstrokes.
