Quick, dry, slender brushstrokes layered over diagonal hatch lines, zigzagging scribbles, and brief, gestural pen strokes, forming a semi-abstract image of a rocky beach in vivid, unnaturalistic colours, including blue, fluorescent orange, and fluorescent yellow.

Foxing. Round holes along the top edge suggesting that the paper was removed from a ring-bound sketchbook. Black stains around one of the holes. Small creases at the top right, top left, and bottom left corners.
